Strategic Mining Corp (SMNG) Signs Contract for Diamond Core Drill Program at Its Nat Son Gold Property

The Junior Gold Mining Company Plans 2,500 Meters of Core Drilling to Evaluate Resources in Zones of Mineralization Identified by Geology Report

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Jan. 20, 2011) - Strategic Mining Corporation (PINK SHEETS:SMNG) is pleased to announce that it has signed a drill contract with Colorado-based Core One Drilling to carry out a diamond core drill program at its Nat Son gold property in north Vietnam.

The program will consist of about 2,500 meters of drilling focused on four zones of precious metal mineralization identified by the site geology and mineralization report.

"This resource evaluation will be the first depth testing of the ore-bearing veins at Nat Son," said Strategic Mining President Todd Sterck. "Surface sampling at the site has yielded gold values as high as 47.3 g/t, and we're optimistic that the drill program will provide the critical data we need about the mineralization below ground to allow us to advance to the next phase of exploration."

Under the terms of its contact, Core One will not only execute the drill program but also provide training in drill methods and use of advanced drill equipment to the staff of Strategic Mining's Vietnamese joint-venture partner, Ba Dinh Minerals JSC.

Strategic Mining is currently awaiting delivery of a state-of-the-art Boart Longyear LF 70 drill rig for use in the drill program. The drill rig is scheduled to arrive at Nat Son from the United States in mid-February.
