Strategic Nevada Resources, Welcomes Thomas F. Fudge Former VP of Operations for Hecla Mining and Former President of Hecla's Venezuelan Subsidiaries to the Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 20, 2006) - Mr. Neil Linder, the President of Strategic Nevada Resources (TSX VENTURE:SNS), is pleased to announce that Thomas F. Fudge Jr. is a licensed professional mining engineer with almost 30 years of experience in mining engineering, operations and project development. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University and continuing education in rock mechanics, mine ventilation, project management, organizational development, managing of managers and the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements. Currently he is President and COO of Concentric Energy Corporation, a development stage uranium company whose primary asset is the Anderson Mine in Yavapai County, Arizona. Prior to joining Concentric Energy he was employed by Hecla Mining Company for almost twelve years, much of that time in the capacity of Vice President of Operations and President of Hecla's Venezuelan subsidiaries. He has extensive experience in the Coeur d'Alene Mining district including more than three years at the Sunshine Mine, located immediately to the east of the Crescent Mine.

Mr. Thomas Fudge was quoted as saying:

"I know from personal experience that the Crescent Mine sits right in the middle of elephant country, with the Sunshine Mine on one side and the Bunker Hill on the other side. The Crescent mine seems to be the bull's eye in the target, as it has always had the highest average Silver grades per ton almost every tear that it was in production. It even had two years in a row where it produced approximately 50 ounces of Silver per ton.

I am also very enthusiastic about the potential for new discoveries above the historic workings in the mine as well as revisiting the old workings with their excellent potential for new discoveries. I believe that this is probably the most exciting opportunity in The Silver Valley and I'm looking forward to being part of the very professional team being put together at Strategic Nevada Resources."

Director Resigns:

Furthermore, the Board of Strategic Nevada Resources wants to thank Douglas Fulcher, President of Abacus, for his advice and input during his tenure as a director of SNS. Mr. Fulcher is resigning to make way for Mr. Fudge on our board. We want to wish Doug the best of luck and continued success with his many projects.

On Behalf of the Board of Directors of Strategic Nevada Resources,

Neil Linder, President
