Strategic Technology Executive Frank Coloccia Joins Xandros Linux Management Team

New Senior Vice President to Help Lead Linux Company Into the SME Market

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 3, 2006 -- Xandros, the leading provider of easy-to-use Linux alternatives to Windows desktop and server products, today announced the appointment of Frank Coloccia as Senior Vice President.

Formerly President and CEO of Creative Technologies Group, Inc., a White Plains, NY technology and operational consultancy firm focused on SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises), Frank Coloccia brings to Xandros a wealth of experience in networking, data security, disaster recovery, and software development for the SME market.

Frank Coloccia is a successful entrepreneur and technology manager with over 18 years of management, technology, operations, and investment banking experience. Prior to his position at Creative Technologies, Frank founded another technology consultancy called ESP which primarily focused on software integration and network infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies. The company's tremendous growth to $18 million within 2 years put them on Entrepreneur Magazine's Top 100 businesses two years in a row. Frank also held senior management positions with Salomon Brothers, First Boston, and Fidelity Investments.

"Xandros now has a portfolio of end-to-end desktop, server, and management solutions that makes Linux accessible to 70 percent of today's business market -- enterprise departments and SMEs," said Andreas Typaldos, Xandros CEO. "As enviable as this may sound, it's not enough to say 'Hey, we've got secure, standards-based systems that leverage your present skill sets, save you a bundle, and put you back in the driver's seat.' To go head-to-head with an entrenched monopolist takes the kind of leadership and savvy that can only come from experience, and Frank possesses both in abundance."

"It's a privilege to be coming to such an impressive and talented organization as Xandros and I look forward to helping springboard the company to a top three position among Linux vendors," added Frank Coloccia. "Our new product offerings will be the catalyst that accelerates the Linux drive into SMEs and throughout the enterprise."

Xandros recently launched the first Linux server to provide a powerful platform for enterprise administrators and SMEs with little or no Linux experience. The award-winning Xandros Server complements the company's award-winning desktop, software deployment, and management software to complete a full end-to-end product line.
