Strathmore Enhances Technical Team And Expands
Business Strategy

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 15, 2005) - With the
strong uranium market and the increasing demand for uranium, STRATHMORE
MINERALS CORP. ("Strathmore") (TSX VENTURE:STM) has established a
permitting/feasibility division with the addition of the following two
new team members to its technical team. These experienced professionals
have strong backgrounds both in feasibility and permitting in the United
States where Strathmore has successfully amassed a number of advanced
properties with drill indicated uranium resources. Many of these
projects have existing mine plans and feasibility studies. The new team
members will be responsible for advancing these drilled properties to
the next level with updated feasibility studies, mine design work, and
permitting. This work will start immediately.

Mr. John DeJoia of Santa Fe, New Mexico has been appointed Vice
President of Technical Services. Mr. DeJoia is a graduate of the
University of Wyoming and has over 30 years of technical experience that
includes underground, open pit and in-situ uranium mining. His Wyoming
mining experience includes the Shirley Basin and Big Eagle uranium mines
with Utah International, Development Geologist for Pathfinder
Exploration Corporation, Chief Geologist for Federal American Partners
in the Gas Hills District, and Director of Technical Services for
American Nuclear Corporation. His extensive management experience
includes work for Morrison-Knudsen, Inc. at the Idaho National
Engineering Laboratory and Manager of the Washington Group projects at
Los Alamos National Laboratory. Mr. DeJoia's diversified experience
covers the entire range of the uranium mining and milling cycle
including: feasibility studies and start-up of new mines; permitting,
mining and mapping of ore bodies in new mines; closure evaluations for
uranium mine and mill tailings facilities and mixed waste facilities.
Mr. DeJoia is a Registered Geologist in the State of Wyoming.

Mr. Juan Velasquez of Albuquerque, New Mexico has been appointed Vice
President of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs. Mr. Velasquez is a
graduate of the University of New Mexico with an undergraduate Bachelor
of Science degree in biology and an MBA. Mr. Velasquez has over 30
years of experience including 7 years with Phillips Uranium Corporation,
a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips) as
Manager of Environmental, Health, and Safety Affairs and 15 years with
United Nuclear Corporation as President of the Minerals Division and
Corporate Manager of Environmental Affairs. Mr. Velasquez has consulted
to private, federal and state clients in the nuclear remediation
industry. Mr. Velasquez has permitted several major uranium mining and
milling operations, including Phillips Nose Rock mine/mill complex and
the United Nuclear Church Rock mill tailings disposal facility. He has
managed a variety of environmental project developments, operations, and
closure activities for Phillips, UNC, and his clients at locations
throughout the United States, working closely with federal and state
regulatory agencies to obtain the required approvals. Mr. Velasquez is
a past Chairman of the New Mexico Mining Association Uranium
Environmental Committee and has been active in various other state and
national mining associations and organizations.

Strathmore owned projects currently outlined for feasibility studies,
mine planning and state/provincial permitting and federal permitting
will include:

- Church Rock ISL Project, New Mexico

- Roca Honda Project, New Mexico

- Nose Rock Project, New Mexico

- Dieter Lake Project, Quebec, Canada

- Copper Mountain Project, Wyoming

In addition, Strathmore continues to evaluate other advanced projects
submitted to the company and is reviewing a number of potential joint
venture opportunities.
