Strathmore Extends Negotiations with Major International Corporation for the Development of Roca Honda

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 4, 2007) - Strathmore Minerals Corp. ("Strathmore") (TSX VENTURE:STM) has extended the time granted to a Fortune Global 500 corporation to negotiate a joint venture agreement to develop Strathmore's Roca Honda project and construct a uranium mill in the Grants Mineral Belt of New Mexico.

Under the original Exclusive Right to Purchase, the two companies had until May 14, 2007 to complete a definitive agreement. Both companies are pleased with the progress to date and have mutually agreed to extend the negotiation period until July 9, 2007. The extension is necessary to provide sufficient time to complete the project review and negotiate the terms of a joint venture agreement. While negotiations are ongoing, there is no guarantee that an agreement will be reached.
