Stratus Technologies Names Haruyoshi Iida as President, Japan and Asia Pacific

TOKYO and MAYNARD, MA--(Marketwire - January 6, 2010) - Stratus Technologies announced today that Haruyoshi Iida has rejoined the company as president, Stratus Japan and Asia Pacific regions. Iida reports to David J. Laurello, president and CEO.

In this same role as president, Iida launched Stratus' entry into these geographies in 1986, directing business development, marketing, sales channels, alliances, and customer services until 2003. Under his leadership, Stratus established a growing and profitable business, an unblemished reputation for product and service quality, and clear distinction as the market leader for technology that delivers superior IT availability. Iida was instrumental in forging close strategic relationships with many of the top Japanese IT companies that continue to remain strong today. Presently, the Japan/AP region represents approximately one-third of Stratus' total revenue.
