The Strive Group Recognized With Multiple Awards for Most Innovative and Effective Merchandising Displays

POPAI Bestows Top Honors to Creative Displays Designed for Trident and Frito Lay

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Apr 21, 2011) - The Strive Group, an integrated merchandising supply chain company serving the retail and consumer packaged goods sector, today announced that its work has been honored with five prestigious Outstanding Marketing at Retail Achievement (OMA) awards. Hosted by POPAI, the leading global association for the marketing at retail industry, the OMA awards recognize the most innovative and effective in-store and at retail displays, which lift sales and make products memorable and enticing to consumers.

During POPAI's Awards Gala on March 29, The Strive Group received three Gold awards, the top honor for the program, and two Bronze awards for their innovative work on displays for top clients, including 3M, Coty, Trident, and Frito Lay. Among the Gold winners was a Frito Lay display that increased sales by over 20 percent during the critical back-to-school time -- the snack food company's most successful display ever during this period. While there were other school bus displays in the market, Strive took it to the next level by creating a unique, truer-to-life-sized spaceship bus using a modular design with direct print, lithography, and pre-print, as well as over 85 percent recycled materials. With an "explore the possibilities" tag line, fun outer-space graphics and images of children showing excitement, the display successfully reminded children to dream big and drove parents to purchase the products.

As part of its Integrated Merchandising Supply Chain (IMSC) process, The Strive Group offers concept and design solutions that differentiate products in the retail marketplace, strengthen brand recognition and generate consumer excitement. The company's creative teams have extensive experience designing temporary or permanent displays in a wide variety of materials, including corrugated, plastics, wire or wood, and with an eye toward delivering solutions that are as sustainable, affordable and efficient as possible. With the help of Strive's manufacturing and fulfillment groups, the design team is armed with the ability to provide customers with displays that are developed within budget and delivered on time.

"We work hard to develop solutions that will successfully connect our clients' brands with shoppers, so to be recognized by our peers is a particularly special accomplishment," said Mike Harper, senior vice president of sales and design, The Strive Group. "Our talented design teams are a critical part of the IMSC process and continually impress with their ability to create innovative, impactful promotions, campaigns and retail merchandising programs that drastically reduce costs and greatly improve ROI."

The OMA awards are the highest recognition in marketing at retail, and Strive has been recognized several times in recent years for its work on behalf of clients. Displays are scored on their ability to increase sales, obtain retail placements, and work strategically to position the brand at the point of sale and judges are made up of brand marketers, retailers, ad agencies and producers/suppliers.

About The Strive Group
The Strive Group's Integrated Merchandising Supply Chain (IMSC) model is a business process that compresses the merchandising supply chain to a "just in time" delivery model. IMSC encompasses the full spectrum of sales, marketing, operations, transportation, finance and procurement, aligning goals and linking teams. The Strive Group's IMSC commercialization execution model gives customers a complete understanding of the total cost of ownership (TCO); an accurate measurement of the return on merchandising investment (ROMI); and a faster time-to-market for their products. The Strive Group enables customers to reduce or eliminate obsolete materials, control inventory management, better deploy internal resources and significantly enhance service levels internally and externally.
