Strongbow Exploration Inc.: Exploration Update, Skoonka Creek, British Columbia Drilling Complete

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 15, 2006) - Strongbow Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SBW) is pleased to provide an update of exploration activities on its 51% owned Skoonka Creek gold property within the Spences Bridge gold belt (SBGB) in southwestern British Columbia.

A 2,000 m fall drilling program on the JJ Prospect is now complete. A total of six drill holes tested the down dip extension of an interpreted shallowly eroded low sulphidation epithermal quartz vein system. The current drilling program has traced clay alteration and limited quartz veining to a depth of 250 m down dip from surface. Sampling of drill core from the final holes of the program is complete and all samples have been submitted to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, B.C. Assay results will be reported upon receipt.

The 2006 exploration program began in late March, culminating in the recently completed fall drilling program. Over the course of the program the bedrock geology of the property was mapped, over 4,500 soil and 1,500 rock geochemical samples were collected, and a total of 4,500 m of drilling was completed. One of the priorities of the 2006 field program was the further evaluation of the Discovery-Backburn trend (the "DBT"), located 3,000 m northeast of the JJ Prospect. The DBT is a prominent gold in soil anomaly that has now been expanded to a 3,000 m strike length and remains open to the east and the west. The DBT defines a linear structural corridor of weakly to strongly clay and silica altered andesitic fragmental rocks within which numerous float and bedrock samples have returned anomalous gold values. Four bedrock gold showings have now been identified along the length of the DBT including the Deadwood showing where three best rock grab samples have returned 7.3 g/t, 13.2 g/t and 13.8 g/t gold.

Prior to the 2006 field program, the southern portion of the Skoonka Creek property had never been explored for bedrock gold mineralization. Five priority targets have now been identified in this area of the property, the most significant of which is the Zebra showing, defined by a 1,100 m by 700 m area of anomalous soil and bedrock samples that have returned elevated gold and silver values and the highest pathfinder element (As, Hg, Sb, Mo) concentrations within the property. Tree-felling and related forestry activities within the Zebra area hindered the ability of Strongbow field crews to safely follow up on these initial results, however, the Zebra showing will represent a priority target for the 2007 summer field season.

Exploration of the Skoonka Creek property is conducted by joint venture partners Strongbow (51%) and Almaden Minerals Ltd. (TSX:AMM) (49%). Strongbow is the project operator and exploration programs are completed under the supervision of David Gale, P.Geo.(BC), Vice-President of Exploration for Strongbow and a qualified person under NI 43-101.

Pursuant to a property option agreement on certain mineral claims in the Hearne Channel area, Northwest Territories, Strongbow has issued 10,000 common shares to 37999 Yukon Inc.
