Strongbow Exploration Inc.: Skoonka Creek Gold Property-Drilling Complete

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 2, 2005) - Strongbow Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SBW) announced today that drilling on the Skoonka Creek gold property in southern British Columbia is now complete and over 800 core samples have been submitted for assay and geochemical analyses. A total of eleven exploration holes, totalling 1258 m of drilling, were completed over the three week program. The main target for drilling was a coincident geophysical and soil geochemical anomaly that is interpreted to represent the host structure for high grade epithermal quartz veins at the JJ showing. The JJ vein system has been exposed by surface trenching over a 60 m strike length and has returned average grades of up to 19.3 g/t gold over an apparent width of 3.4 m (see Strongbow news release #05-13 September 6, 2005, for complete results of this trenching). During the current drill program seven holes (841 m) tested this interpreted target over a strike length of approximately 350 m. Each of the seven holes intersected alteration, including quartz veining, typical of low sulphidation epithermal gold systems. The remaining four holes of the program tested additional target areas in the vicinity of the JJ showing. Complete laboratory results for the submitted core samples are anticipated to take approximately four weeks. Final results from the program will be reported once received.

Strongbow is presently working to earn up to a 60% interest in the Skoonka Creek property from Almaden Minerals Ltd. (TSX:AMM) by incurring $4 million in exploration expenditures and making certain share issuances over a 6 year period. The Skoonka Creek property is located 10 km northeast of Lytton in southern British Columbia and the exploration program is conducted under the supervision of David Gale, P.Geo.(BC), a qualified person under NI 43-101.
