Stroud Hits Semi-Massive Silver, Zinc, Lead Mineralized Zone in Mexico/ Discovers Three More Mineralized Zones

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 7, 2006) - Stroud Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SDR) ("Stroud" or the Company) is pleased to report the results of its initial three drill holes from its current 900 metre drill programme at the Santo Domingo Project in central Mexico.

Drill hole SD-12 intersected a semi-massive mineralized zone grading 92.00(g/t) silver, 0.84(g/t) gold, 5.73% zinc, 2.94% lead and 0.12% copper over 4.5 metres or 837.30(g/t) silver equivalent(i). The partially assayed upper mineralized section of the hole assayed at 105.30(g/t) silver and 0.95(g/t) gold over 4.5 metres for a silver equivalent(i) of 148.00(g/t).

Drill hole SD-10, drilled 122 metres north of SD-12, intersected 178.96(g/t) silver and 0.51(g/t) gold over 2.3 metres or a silver equivalent(i) of 202.34(g/t) . A lower zone within the hole assayed at 56.73(g/t) silver over 6.1 metres.

Drill hole SD-11, drilled 375 metres north of drill hole SD-10, encountered 10.5 metres of 98.14(g/t) silver and 0.21(g/t) gold for a silver equivalent(i) grade of 107.80(g/t), including 4.5 metres of 143.33(g/t) silver and 0.28(g/t) gold for a silver equivalent(i) grade of 156.21(g/t). Three metres of 186.00(g/t) silver and 0.28(g/t) gold were also intersected in the hole for a silver equivalent(i) grade of 198.65(g/t). This occurred within a longer intercept of 31.5 metres of 67.20(g/t) silver and 0.13(g/t) gold for a silver equivalent(i) of 73.10(g/t). Drill hole SD-11 also intersected a new zone called the El Zapilote Zone which assayed 30.00(g/t) silver and 4.15(g/t) gold over 1.5 metres or a silver equivalent(i) of 220.90(g/t).

Prospecting on the property located three additional mineralized zones. Previous sampling from the El Cobre System located east of the Los Reyes Zone assayed 447.00(g/t) silver, 4.00(g/t) gold and 9.70% lead over 0.7 metres for a silver equivalent(i) of 1,009.83(g/t) and 0.65 metres of 177.50(g/t) silver, 5.00(g/t) gold and 1.1% lead, 2.5% zinc for a silver equivalent(i) of 700.02(g/t) . A number of adits were located on the mineralized structure. La Esperanza System is located east of the El Cobre System and was discovered by a road cut. The El Zapilote System is located west of the Guadalupe system. Sections of the structure contain a well developed system of adits and raises which were used to carry out a limited amount of mining.

The drill core sampling program includes the use of tamper proof sample bags, 10% blanks and certified standard reference samples. The drill core is sawed in half, with one half sent out for assay and the other half stored in Strouds secure facility. The samples are subjected to full sample preparation followed by a 30g fire assay with a gravimetric finish.
