StubHub Completes Ten Millionth Ticket Sale

Buyer and Seller From Illinois and Missouri Awarded $5,000 StubHub Gift Certificates

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2007) - StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, has announced that its ten millionth ticket has been purchased through its popular website. The milestone ticket was part of a pair transacted for the Dec. 16th Green Bay Packers-St. Louis Rams game in St. Louis. In celebration of this company landmark, StubHub will be awarding $5,000 gift certificates to both the ticket buyer, Brian Michael, and seller, Lamont Kelly, which can be used to purchase tickets to any of the thousands of sports, concert, theater or exclusive entertainment events on www.stubhub.com.

"This recent milestone is a true testament to our fans' loyalty and we are pleased to award our lucky buyer and seller with these valuable gift certificates," said StubHub president Chris Tsakalakis. "StubHub is proud to be the leading destination for fans to buy and sell tickets to over 30,000 live events in North America and strives to provide the utmost in service and satisfaction."

The ten millionth ticket buyer, Brian Michael of Bartonville, Illinois, is a diehard Packers fan who will be traveling nearly 200 miles to support his team this weekend at the Rams' Edward Jones Dome. Michael's sports loyalty extends well beyond the Packers, as he also travels to watch the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Lakers regularly. He plans to use part of his gift certificate to the Reds' Opening Day against the Arizona Diamondbacks, remarking that, "it is nice to be able to get tickets for any event that I wish to go to (on StubHub)."

The seller, Lamont Kelly of St. Peters, Missouri, is a longtime St. Louis Rams fan and season ticket holder and had originally planned to attend the game next weekend. When he found out he could not make it, he decided to sell them on StubHub because the site "was very easy to set up and use" and the FanProtect™ Guarantee "provided peace of mind." A St. Louis-area native, Kelly has no concrete plans for the StubHub gift certificate, but added that Final Four or Super Bowl tickets may be an option.

StubHub's ten millionth ticket sale took place less than a year after the five millionth ticket sale, which further illustrates the rapid adoption of the online marketplace by consumers. Since 2000, StubHub has been working to eliminate the words "sold out" and "no show" from contemporary language and is proud to celebrate the bringing together of an amazing number of fans to create so much enjoyment. Fans often contact StubHub with their stories of how we were able to help them move extra tickets, or how much they appreciate access to such a wide variety of events for both personal and business reasons.
