Students from University of Ottawa and Carleton University Depart for a Nine-Day Youth Exchange Program in Japan

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 8, 2015) - A delegation of 21 students representing the University of Ottawa and Carleton University departed this morning to participate in Kakehashi - Japan Friendship Ties Program, a bilateral youth exchange project funded by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These students will take part in a nine-day program in Japan that includes stops in Tokyo and the City of Kobe. The program includes participation in seminars and debates at Kobe University, cultural workshops and calls on government and businesses that have ties to Canada.

The Kakehashi Project 2015 involves the exchange of 160 students from two high schools and 12 universities in Canada and Japan.

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is working in co-operation with Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) to deliver this Japan-Canada exchange program.
