World's Largest Beauty Services Marketplace Announces It Will Now Support Salons, Starting With Booker Integration

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2016) - StyleSeat, the world's largest marketplace for beauty services and inspiration, today opened up the platform to salons for the first time. The company will now enable salon technicians, services and availability to be featured on the StyleSeat platform alongside independent stylists. The new salon-enabled StyleSeat provides seamless integration with the popular salon booking service Booker -- the first of many planned integrations -- and lets salons benefit from the reach of the StyleSeat platform just as independents have for years.

In the US alone there are nearly 1.2 million professionals working as stylists. StyleSeat was originally built to help those that were operating independently to manage and grow their businesses but the platform has since evolved into the largest beauty services marketplace in the world. By opening up the marketplace to salons, users of the StyleSeat platform will now be able to search top-rated salons alongside independent stylists, browse salon profiles and services, view real-time availability and book instantly. The latest news caps off a successful half year for StyleSeat who acquired beauty booking platform BeautyBooked in January, which features +1k premium salon establishments, including Warren Tricomi and Ted Gibson, and reached the milestone of 50 million bookings through the platform in April. Relying on almost 100% word of mouth since its 2011 launch, the platform has already fueled over $3 billion in booked services for more than 10 million consumers, supported by over 400,000 stylists, and is growing everyday.
