Successful August for Volkswagen Canada

AJAX, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 4, 2012) - Total sales of 5,782 made this the most successful August ever for Volkswagen Canada. This represents a 34.4% increase over sales from the same month last year (4,302). As the company approaches its 60^th anniversary in September, its 136 dealers have sold a total of 39,451 new vehicles year-to-date, 10.3% above last year's record pace (35,766).

With the arrival of the new 2013 models, Volkswagen will offer its TDI Clean Diesel engines in the recently redesigned Beetle, furthering a commitment to providing a full slate of automobiles featuring the latest designs and technology. Also available on the Jetta, Golf, Golf Wagon, Passat and Touareg models, these engines are but one example of "Bluemotion Technologies," and part of Volkswagen's worldwide "Think Blue" environmental stewardship initiative.
