Suddenlink Deploys Sigma's Service Management Platform 3.0

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 30, 2006) - Sigma Systems, www.sigma-systems.com, a leading provider of service management, provisioning and OSS solutions, that manages next-generation services on IP broadband and wireless networks, has been selected by Suddenlink Communications (www.suddenlink.com), a Top 10 U.S. cable operator serving 1.3 million customers.

Suddenlink will deploy Sigma's Service Management Platform (SMP) 3.0, along with Sigma's Cable Solution 3.1, a fully-automated service management solution, to provision its high-speed data and VoIP telephony subscribers.

Sigma's Cable Solution and Sigma SMP have been deployed multiple times globally and will now assist Suddenlink in managing its aggressive subscriber growth plans for broadband services. These industry-leading solutions from Sigma's Product Portfolio will serve as cornerstones of Suddenlinks' back office infrastructure.

"Suddenlink chose Sigma's Service Management Platform because of its proven ability to rapidly model and implement IP Broadband service order management and provisioning processes," said Bob Putnam, Senior Vice President, Suddenlink. "We deliver an improved customer experience by dramatically reducing service delivery cycle times. Sigma contributes to this by distinguishing itself as being able to provide a proven carrier-grade platform with the reliability and performance necessary to meet our existing and planned provisioning volumes."

Automated OSS service management focuses on rapidly defining, provisioning and managing broadband services, as well as capturing and retaining subscribers all at lower costs - key business objectives for service providers today. SMP is a high performance, extremely reliable, and configurable platform with proven service provider deployments in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific since 1996. Sigma's latest SMP and Cable Solutions product releases automate service management and service delivery of subscription, on-demand, and converged telecommunications services for IP broadband and wireless service providers networks.

"Suddenlink is experiencing tremendous growth with their recent acquisitions and have recognized from an early stage that a strong Service Management (OSS) platform is required to drive key operational efficiencies to manage that growth effectively," said Tim Spencer, President and COO, Sigma Systems. "They need systems that are responsive to their customer needs, cost-effective, and can be quickly configured to manage a wide variety of IP-based services. Sigma is honored to be a part of this exciting project and, together with Suddenlink, we aim to set a new benchmark in next generation broadband and IP service management."
