Suit Against Mathew Knowles Dismissed

HOUSTON, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- A lawsuit filed in New York against Mathew Knowles, President & CEO of Music World Entertainment, has been dismissed in his favor.

In early 2006, the recording artist Mario Barrett filed suit against one of his managers, Troy Patterson, and a company owned by Patterson called Third Street Music. Barrett alleged that Patterson and Third Street engaged in certain conduct which resulted in Barrett receiving less compensation that he was entitled to under various agreements. Patterson and Third Street denied Barrett's allegations.

Third Street Music then brought Mathew Knowles and several other defendants into the suit. Third Street alleged that Knowles encouraged Barrett not to perform under a recording agreement with Third Street, and that Knowles' actions caused damages to Third Street. Knowles denied the allegations.

A number of the parties resolved the case by entering into a settlement agreement. The terms of the settlement are confidential.

Knowles was not a party to the settlement. After the settlement was reached, all claims against Knowles were dismissed.
