Sumit Oberai Joins Eloqua Corporation as Senior Vice President of Engineering; Demand Generation Technology Leader Expands Team With Engineering and Strategy Veteran

Eloqua Corporation, the leading supplier of automated demand-generation technology and services for B-to-B marketers, today named Sumit Oberai as Senior Vice President of Engineering.

With more than 10 years of management and executive-level experience in engineering at both public and private companies, including McKinsey & Company and Critical Path, Oberai will pilot Eloqua's engineering team in development, production and quality assurance.

Prior to joining Eloqua, Oberai was part of the Business Technology Office of McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm where he served Fortune 500 clients on technology and strategy issues. He was previously the Development Manager at The DocSpace Company where he led the rapid growth of the development team and was named as one of five "key people" in its 1999 acquisition by Critical Path for over $500M. As Director of Engineering at NASDAQ-listed Critical Path, Oberai managed five global engineering teams, including offshore development in India and Vietnam. Oberai began his career at Nortel Networks and holds two patents in the areas of telecom applications and Internet security. Oberai has an MBA from INSEAD, a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Toronto and a bachelor's degree in mathematics and engineering from Queen's University.
