Summer Niagara Events Heat Up With Daredevil Dean Sullivan's Thrilling Jump From Skylon Tower on July 7th, 2008

Among Niagara Falls attractions, Daredevil Dean Sullivan has chosen the tallest with Skylon Tower-jumping 775 feet

NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 3, 2008) - While there are many Niagara events this summer, few will be more chilling than Daredevil Dean Sullivan's Jump from Skylon Tower on July 7th, 2008. Sponsored by Celebrate Old Downtown and The Skylon Tower, media and visitors alike are invited to watch this magnificent face-first jump from 775 feet above the Falls.

Sullivan was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario and now resides in British Columbia. In 2002 he performed a face-first jump with a rope from the Lions' Gate Bridge, in Vancouver, landing on a cruise ship hundreds of feet below. In 2004 and 2007, he performed the same style of jump off of Niagara Falls. And now he brings his jaw-dropping feat to Skylon Tower-a favourite among Niagara Falls attractions.

Sullivan will be jumping from the Skylon with no safety mechanical braking device except for his own 2 hands. The Skylon jump, one of the most exciting Niagara events of the summer, is just a precursor to promote Sullivan's next big stunt at Celebrate Old Downtown's Daredevil Days, where he will be making a world record when he jumps face first, 1000 feet from a Niagara Helicopter.

Daredevil Days will run August 15th to the 17th on Queen Street, Niagara Falls. Daredevil Days is Celebrate Old Downtown's signature event and will feature incredible Niagara entertainment and stunts from Zero Gravity Circus and Nocks Productions Thrill Shows. A world-renowned stuntman and former bodyguard of Evel Knievel will also be in attendance performing a thrilling stunt where he jumps over 20 vehicles, through a flaming hoop on a motorcycle. All-in-all the event is one of the summertime Niagara Falls attractions not to be missed.

Nationally syndicated television show, Inside Edition with Deborah Noville will be here from New York City for this once-in-a-lifetime Niagara Falls experience, exclusively filming Sullivan before, during and after the jump. After the Skylon jump, Sullivan will be making key chains out of his rope. Half of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Sick Kids Children's Hospital in Toronto.
