Summertime Entertainment Reinvigorates the 'Oz' Franchise With an Immersive New Themed Virtual World 'Adventure in Oz'

Family-Friendly Online Platform Will Help Introduce and Adapt Dorothy, Toto and All Her Friends to a Whole New Generation

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - December 2, 2010) - In an effort to bring the beloved "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" Franchise to the new, younger generation, Summertime Entertainment proudly announces their plans to launch a fully immersive, interactive virtual world called "Adventure In Oz." The multi-level world will guide children of all ages through whimsical and typically "Ozian" adventures, including the exploration of new, yet unseen lands of Oz based on the popular book spin-off series by Roger Stanton Baum -- great grandson to L. Frank Baum. "Adventure In Oz" will offer children and adults a virtual land to play games and learn through the world of Oz, all while introducing them to the wholesome characters their parents know and love: Dorothy, Toto, Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow and more.

"Oz is a magical, established location that children, adults and families alike have appreciated for decades through a wide array of wonderful, timeless movies and books," expressed Transmedia Producer James Jones. "'Adventure in Oz' is being carefully designed and structured, along with an array of interactive media, to allow something for truly every type, background, and age of user to enjoy as they virtually explore familiar and new corners of the irresistible, quintessentially classic and always surprising land that is Oz." Executives Neil L. Kaufman and Greg Centineo further comment that they are "delighted to have this ideal opportunity to bring the Oz brand forward into the 21st century."

Sheila Mitham, Adventure in Oz's Head of Operations and mother of four, mentions that, "We as parents love and cherish everything 'Oz.' It is part of our own childhood. All too often, we don't understand and trust what our children are interacting with on their computers. 'Adventure in Oz' gives the whole family an opportunity to engage and interact with all the characters which are part of our early years in a very safe and enriching environment."

Ryan and Roland Carroll, founders of Summertime Entertainment, are producing the virtual world. KZero Worldswide, the leading virtual worlds and virtual goods company, is developing alongside industry leader Dubit, out of the United Kingdom. Dubit has developed online worlds and social networks for blue chip companies in Europe and the US such as the BBC, Cartoon Network, Motorola, Sky Movies, Real Madrid, Diesel Jeans and esteemed organizations such as The British Museum. "Adventure in Oz" has an anticipated release date of January 2011 and can be viewed at www.adventureinoz.com.
