Sun Microsystems to Resell Bridgestream SmartRoles

Joint Solution Accelerates Identity Management Implementation and Simplifies Management

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 12, 2006 --At Burton Group's Catalyst Conference, Bridgestream, Inc., a leading provider of business roles automation solutions, today announced that Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: SUNW) will now resell Bridgestream SmartRoles worldwide.

The Sun relationship with Bridgestream combines a deep knowledge of identity management with a comprehensive business roles automation solution enabling enterprises to dramatically improve the provisioning and de-provisioning of resources as users' roles change within the organization.

The combination of Sun Identity Manager and Bridgestream SmartRoles removes implementation barriers and reduces time-to-deployment of identity management projects. "Sun's extensive experience in the identity management market truly compliments our business roles automation solution making this a valuable relationship for both companies," said Ed Zou, Vice President of Marketing at Bridgestream. "The end result of this agreement is that our mutual customers can decrease the cost of managing roles and role membership data, improve visibility and control and strengthen enterprise security."

The Sun Java Identity Manager Resource adapter for Bridgestream SmartRoles is now generally available. Bridgestream and Sun will demonstrate their joint solution at the Catalyst Conference in Sun's hospitality suite on June 15, 2006, at Hilton San Francisco.
