Suncor Energy to host full-scale emergency response simulation in Prince Rupert


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - March 31, 2014) - Suncor Energy, in partnership with Northwest Fuels, wishes to advise the community of Prince Rupert of an emergency response simulation that will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to noon PT at the Petro-Canada marina located at 125 George Hills Way, Prince Rupert, BC.

Due to the nature of the scenario, agencies responding will have additional motor vehicles and boats on site. Residents may also see smoke, as smoke bombs may be used.

  • Transport Canada
  • City of Prince Rupert Port Authority
  • Canadian Coast Guard

Emergency response exercises are developed as a test of our response to potential incidents. The purpose is to validate plans and allow learning in a safe environment.
