Suni Munshani Appointed to CEO at Protegrity

STAMFORD, CT--(Marketwire - May 11, 2011) - Protegrity USA, Inc., a leading provider of end-to-end data security solutions, today announced that Suni Munshani has been named CEO of the company, effective immediately.

"After a diligent search, we're excited to announce that Suni Munshani has joined Protegrity as our new CEO," said Gustav Vik, Chairman of the Board at Protegrity. "As the pressure mounts for large corporate and government organizations to avoid the nightmare of data breaches and how to comply with evolving data security regulations, huge opportunities lie ahead for Protegrity. Suni brings the perfect blend of hands-on experience in business strategy, operations, marketing, and corporate development to help lead us through what we anticipate will be a period of hyper growth in data security over the next several years."

Munshani, who brings 25 years of software industry experience, will lead Protegrity through its next phase of continued pioneering innovation and growth as large enterprises demand more affordable and effective data security solutions to protect their brands and to stay compliant with regulations. For the past five years, Suni served as CEO for Novitaz, a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions for the retail, banking, healthcare, high-tech and hospitality industries.

"Data breaches like those recently experienced by Sony and Epsilon are at all time highs, proving that current data security measures deployed at most companies are simply not enough," said Suni Munshani, CEO for Protegrity. "As the stringency and resulting cost and complexity of regulatory requirements continue to rise in response to this situation, Protegrity is extremely well positioned to take advantage of the exploding market. I'm particularly excited about our tokenization technology which will significantly reduce operating expenses, required IT resources, and time it takes for companies to achieve PCI and HIPAA compliance."

Suni has spent the past 25 years either investing in, building or leading enterprise software and services companies. Prior to Novitaz, he served as a managing partner at Persephone Investments, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology investments. In this role, Suni concurrently served as CEO at Synetics, Inc., where he led the company's acquisition by Affiliated Computer Services. Prior to that, Munshani founded several successful software and services companies, including Paradigm Systems Corporation of America (acquired by Platinum Technology/ Computer Associates) and Trirex Systems. Suni has served on the board of directors for several companies and is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).
