VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 26, 2008) - Sunridge Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SGC) is pleased to announce recent assay results from diamond drill holes from the on-going drill program at the Emba Derho zinc-copper-gold VMS deposit in Eritrea. The current drill program which is intended to both expand and further delineate the current resource has successfully intersected large intervals of zinc and copper mineralization.

Drill highlights:

ED-202-D: 22.44 metres grading 1.13% Cu

ED-205-D: 39.76 metres grading 1.16% Cu

ED-221-D: 42.28 metres grading 4.55% Zn

ED-224-D: 89.40 metres grading 3.20% Zn

ED-225-D: 67.10 metres grading 2.50% Zn

ED-226-D: 43.78 metres grading 3.90% Zn

Drill holes ED-213-D to ED-220-D, ED-222-D and ED-223-D are not included in this release as they were drilled as part of a 30 hole program designed to test the surface oxide gold cap at Emba Derho. These results will be released when all assays are received for this part of the program.

Notes to Table:

1. Expansion Drilling: diamond drill holes ED-202, 205, 206, 208, 211, and
212 have extended the Northwest mineralized zone 300m along strike.
These holes have the potential to add tonnage to the initial Emba Derho
NI 43-101 resource estimate announced on December 4, 2007.

2. Delineation Drilling: diamond drill holes ED-221, 224, 225 and 226 drill
tested the Emba Derho deposit for greater geological detail in an area
where the massive sulphide body is folded. This information is needed
for the ongoing Emba Derho Preliminary Assessment Study (Scoping Study).

Some of these results are expected to enhance the estimated combined Indicated resources at Emba Derho which currently contain 1.7 billion pounds of zinc, 735 million pounds of copper, 402,000 ounces of gold and 15 million ounces of silver, as reported in Sunridge Gold's news release NR2007-16 dated December 4, 2007 (see Note 1 below for summary of Indicated Resources at Emba Derho). The Emba Derho Deposit is one of four deposits delineated to date on the 100% owned Asmara Project, Eritrea. Two drills continue to operate on the Asmara Project.
