Alberta Snowboarding, in association with Canada Snowboard, is set to host the second stop of the 2015/2016 Sport Chek #AirNation Canada Cup tour this Saturday and Sunday at Sunshine Village. Sixty riders will participate in the event, which includes both slopestyle and big air disciplines, for prizes worth over $10 000.

"The Sport Chek #AirNation Canada Cup is one of the most important events of the season for athletes as they can earn both FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) and WST (World Snowboard Tour) points," says Chelsea Webster, Director of Operations at Alberta Snowboarding. "These points are accumulated over a 52-week period and allow riders to compete for cash and positions on Canada's provincial and national teams."

Shaw TV will capture this exciting event, which will feature athletes from all over the world including Korean, Australian, American, and many Canadian riders. Alberta Snowboarding would like to thank the sponsors, parents and volunteers that make these events possible including: Fitter First, Muscle MLK, Burton, Oakley, Smith Optics, Camp of Champions, Skullcandy and Sport Chek.
