Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort: Early Bird Season Passes on Sale

BANFF, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 6, 2011) - Spring is not only the best time of the year to ride Sunshine Village; it's also the time to grab the best deal of the year. The Early Bird season pass sale runs until May 31st, 2011, with adult passes starting at just $499 for seven months of skiing.

The Early Bird Pass Sale gives skiers and snowboarders wide open skiing at Alberta's favourite snow resort for as little as $499. That's 194 days on Canada's Best Snow (based on a projected Nov. 10, 2011 opening). And this offer comes on the heels of the best snow at Sunshine in 41 years of record-keeping.

In fact, all of Sunshine's Early Bird pass prices have been frozen at last year's levels. Student, senior, midweek and youth passes are just $499. Full week adult passes are $659 (25 per cent off the regular rate of $899) and passes for a family of four are just $1,499 (regular rate $1,999).

The Early Bird Season Pass also gives guests discounts at all on-mountain restaurants, retail and rental shops as well as the Sunshine Mountain Lodge – Banff's ONLY ski-in, ski-out hotel.

"This deal is geared to local skiers and riders," says Doug Firby, associate director of communications for Sunshine Village. "The economy is just starting to recover, so we're trying to give everyone a break."

Skiers and riders can pop into Sunshine Village's Snow Central in Calgary at 1037 11th Ave. S.W., visit SKIBANFF.COM, or call 1-87-SKI-BANFF (1-877-542-2633) to pick up a pass for the 2011-12 season.
