Sunterra Corporation Announces First European Affiliate

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 8, 2005 -- Sunterra Corporation (NASDAQ: SNRR) announced the affiliation of the Gålå Resort in Norway, the first European affiliation of Club Sunterra.

David Harris, Managing Director of Sunterra Europe, said, "Gålå offers our members fabulous vacation experiences year-round and we are excited to be partnering with them as our initial European affiliate. The area is well known for some of the finest alpine and cross-country skiing in the world."

Gålå is situated in Gudbrandsdalen valley, about half way between Trondheim and Oslo, and approximately one hour north of Lillehammer -- the site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. The Gålå ski arena features 15 alpine ski runs of varying difficulty, as well as excellent cross-country skiing in the winter months. Next week, Danish boys and girls compete for the title of Danish Telemark Skiing Champion at the Gålå for the fourth year in a row. On the first floor of the hotel there is a "children's cinema," which every evening during the winter shows a film suitable for children.

During the warmer months, vacationers can experience certain ski runs on a mountain bike, or enjoy hiking, fishing, tennis and horseback riding. In August, the Peer Gynt Festival is a ten-day cultural event of literature, art, theatre and music. During the entire year, guests enjoy a heated outdoor pool, a sauna, delicious food in the restaurant Mor Aases Kjøkken and after dining socializing in the Anitras bar and lounge. The resort's Trollungene playroom has plenty of activities for children as well.

Bytte Ferie AS, operators of the Gålå resort, have entered into an affiliation agreement to sell Club Sunterra membership to their owner base and prospective clients. Club Sunterra members will begin booking into the resort's cabins in the summer of 2005.

Sunterra is one of the world's largest vacation ownership companies with more than 300,000 owner member families and 95 affiliated resort locations throughout the continental United States and Hawaii, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico.
