Sunwing Announces Inaugural Flight to Glasgow

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 12, 2012) - Continuing to expand its summer Europe program with flights to additional popular European vacation destinations, Sunwing is pleased to announce its inaugural flight to Glasgow, Scotland from Toronto. This resurgent modern city continues to be a popular destination from Toronto, and serves as the gateway to exploring Scotland and beyond. The inaugural flight will depart on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 pm. Flights to Glasgow will continue weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with returns on Thursdays and Sundays, until September 9, 2012. All flights will be aboard the wide-bodied Boeing 767, which seats up to 300 passengers.

In addition to its flights to Glasgow, Scotland, Sunwing will also be offering Glasgow vacation packages with affordable, centrally located hotels. Local car hires in Glasgow through Alamo Rent A Car will also be available, as will pre-bookable excursions and tours to allow visitors to make the most of their vacation in Scotland.

All flights to Glasgow will be operated on the "High Frills" Sunwing Airlines, where passengers are treated to the award winning Champagne Service, which includes a bon-voyage glass of champagne, hot towel service, a choice of hot meals at lunch and dinner served with choice of wine, and complimentary in-flight entertainment, including first run movies. For just $40 more per flight segment, travellers can upgrade to Sunwing's Elite Plus service, which features advance seat selection, separate check-in at a majority of airports, advance boarding, 30 kg baggage allowance, and extra legroom seats.
