Sunwing Moving to Brand New Terminal 3 in Las Vegas Airport

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 22, 2012) - As of June 27, 2012, Sunwing will be moving to the new Terminal 3 in the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. Terminal 3 will stretch almost half a mile across the desert, providing visitors to Las Vegas with a full-service, stand-alone international terminal that will also connect with existing Terminals 1 and 2. The new terminal is the first major expansion at McCarron since the D-gate concourse opened in 1998 and is the largest capital improvement in the airport's history.

The 1.9 million sq ft, 14-gate, 3-story facility, will allow Sunwing passengers to benefit from all the new features T3 will provide. The $2.4 billion expansion includes dynamic digital signage, including 900 NEC large-screen displays and 800 single-board computers, self-boarding technology at each gate, state-of-the-art baggage claim, security checkpoints on two levels, and unique public art installations. T3 will also provide fliers with free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal and an abundance of power outlets to plug in and recharge gadgets. Dining options at the new terminal include Starbucks, Carl's Jr., Burger King, Village Pub, Vegas Chophouse and Pei Wei Asian Diner. Shops located in Terminal 3 include a 10,000-square-foot duty free store, World of Sports, Vegas Special Tees, Objet D'Art, Hudson News and XpresSpa. Keeping in line with the standard Vegas features travellers have come to expect, T3 will also offer nearly 300 slot machines, giving passengers one last chance to hit it big before heading home.

All Sunwing vacations to Las Vegas include flights aboard the "high frills" Sunwing Airlines, where passengers are treated to the award winning service, which includes hot towel service, a choice of hot meals at lunch and dinner served with choice of wine, and complimentary in-flight entertainment, including first run movies. For just $40 more per flight segment, travellers can upgrade to Sunwing's Elite Plus service, which features advance seat selection, separate check-in at a majority of airports, advance boarding, 30 kg baggage allowance, and extra legroom seats.
