"Super Dreams": In Video, Oak Crest Retirees Pay Tribute to Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Season

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - Jan 30, 2013) - From the 4^thand 29 "Hey Diddle Diddle, Ray Rice Up the Middle" play in San Diego to the "Flacco Fling" in the AFC Divisional Playoffs, it has been a dream season for the Baltimore Ravens, leading to the team's second Super Bowl appearance.

During a week of Super Bowl fever at Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community in Baltimore, MD, residents and employees took the celebration one step further: they starred in a video that pays tribute to the hometown team.

Released today via YouTube, the 90-second video captures the thrill of being introduced before the big game through the eyes of Gene Miller, a 71-year old resident of Oak Crest. Mr. Miller roots for the Ravens with his fellow residents and then shows off his dance steps in the big moment, ala a certain future Hall of Famer middle linebacker.

"I've been a Baltimore sports fan since 1965, and this year's Ravens team has been as exciting as any I've seen," said Mr. Miller. "From Purple Fridays to game-day viewing, Oak Crest residents have enjoyed cheering on the team."

Mr. Miller has also participated in "Dancing with the Oak Crest Stars" and a Thriller video in the last two years. "Retirement is about possibilities and trying new things," stated Mr. Miller. "We're having fun."

The video was directed by Josh Runkles, manager of WOCV, the in-house television station at Oak Crest, and his team. Donned in their Ravens gear and colors, sixty residents and employees participated in the two-day filming at the community's Acorn Pub and Erickson Conference Center.

"For fans of all ages, sports are all about dreams: taking the field, making the play and winning the big game," described Ernie Rehmeyer, an Oak Crest resident who appeared in the video. "It's been fun to see everyone around town cheer on the Ravens to the Super Bowl. They'll get the job done in New Orleans!"
