Superior Canadian Resources Inc.: News Release

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - July 13, 2005) - SUPERIOR CANADIAN RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:CAD) (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on its current activities.

The Company has commenced exploration on its 100 % wholly-owned Sim Lake Prospect (Cu, Ni, and PGE's) with a systematic evaluation of the anomalies defined by the Time Domain Electromagnetic (TEM) survey.

The results of the survey were reviewed by Stephen Reford B.A.Sc., P.Eng. of Paterson, Grant Watson Limited with the recommendations for further ground proofing of the anomalies. A geological crew is working on the summer program comprised of geological mapping, prospecting and sampling, the five (5) specific clusters of anomalies spread over the claims.

The focus is to locate the possible source of the anomalies and define the potential host rocks in the area. At present two (2) of the five (5) anomalous areas have been explored and the last three (3) are currently being evaluated. Once the evaluations of the anomalies are completed a diamond drill program is planned for the fall or early winter.

A detailed geological work program of sampling, mapping and prospecting will commence in mid-August on the Aurum property, to evaluate, the recommendations provided by Paterson, Grant Watson Limited as to specific anomalies resulting from the recent TEM survey. Based on the field findings this will allow the planning of a possible early fall diamond drilling program to further evaluate the various gold targets.

Both properties are located approximately 300 km and 340 km, respectively, north east of Thunder Bay Ontario and are accessible via a local road network.

Koro Energy Inc., the 100% wholly-owned oil and gas subsidiary of the Company, has concluded, it's due diligence of the previous announced acquisition of the shallow gas property located in the Fenner / Hanna area of Alberta and anticipates closing the transaction effective August 01, 2005.

Koro Energy Inc., thru it's US subsidiary, are currently in early stage discussions as to a joint venture arrangement with a US independent oil and gas firm as to the potential development for gas and heavy oil on the recently acquired 1,100 acres of lands in south central Montana. It is anticipated that drilling will occur prior to year end.
