Superior Plus Corp. Purchase Option to Acquire Canwest Propane


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - March 1, 2017) - Superior Plus Corp. ("Superior") (TSX:SPB) is pleased to announce that, in accordance with the previously announced option purchase agreement, it has purchased an option (the "Option") from Gibson Energy ULC. ("Gibson") to acquire all of the outstanding shares and units of the entities that carry on the retail propane business of Canwest Propane ("Canwest") for $412 million, subject to adjustments. The Option grants Superior the right to acquire Canwest for a nominal amount subject to certain customary adjustments (the "Transaction"). Superior anticipates that the transaction will close in the second half of 2017.
