SuperStreamHD Technology From Blackfire Research Takes Top Honors at Premier Audio Show

Blackfire Research Wins "Best of Show: Best New Technology"

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2010) -   Blackfire Research, a company at the forefront of wireless and networked audio systems, today announced that its SuperStreamHD technology was awarded Best of Show for New Technology by StereoMojo at the premier US audiophile tradeshow, 2010 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest (RMAF).

At the RMAF, Blackfire Research demonstrated music from iTunes, Windows Media Player, Rhapsody and Pandora being played over 802.11g WiFi from computers to Blackfire's SuperStreamHD enabled Smart Amp Audio Systems and Smart Speaker Audio Systems. Blackfire Research also demonstrated direct play of music from smartphones such as the iPhone. All source devices used their built in WiFi capability.

By playing the most popular media formats and offering freedom from docks, connecting wires, and dongles, SuperStreamHD delivers a unique Anywhere, Anytime, Any Media, Any Device solution for today's music fans. SuperStreamHD is a unique patent-pending, high performance, transport technology, built from the ground up for multi destination, synchronous and high bandwidth streaming. It has low latency for home theater applications, a push vs. pull architecture for direct mobile device play, is lightweight for universal platform use, has rapid packet loss detection for wireless operation and optimizations for high resolution high payload data rates.

"What if you could get rid of all of those [components] and have a one product solution that you could play from any computer, iPad or even your iPhone? I don't mean controlled by your device, I mean actually play the music on the device... No messy adapters, docking stations, connecting wires or dangling USB port connections and the grunge they induce... the sound was robust, detailed, clean and musical with a big, deep soundstage... overall best of the best... Minimalist heaven."
