Supplier of Integrated Semiconductor Test Cell Consumables, Antares Advanced Test Technologies, Names Bruce Rogers Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer

Rogers' Test and Burn-in Experience Spans 15 Years

PHOENIX, AZ and VANCOUVER, WA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2008) - Antares Advanced Test Technologies, a global supplier of integrated semiconductor test cell consumables, has named Bruce Rogers, a 15-year veteran of the test and burn-in market, its vice-president and chief marketing officer.

Rogers has held various sales and marketing roles in Antares' test products division and most recently headed up the company's global account management team. He will now manage Antares' marketing team and company-wide strategic initiatives, including an expanded Web presence.

Rogers added that he and his team plan to keep Antares active within SEMI and "remain very involved" with the Burn-in and Test Socket (BiTS) Workshop, International Test Conference (ITC) and industry organizations, including the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) packaging committee.

"One of our goals will be to keep developing products that address the continuing decrease in IC package pitches, the advances in 3D packaging and the significant increase in the need for thermal-management solutions in test and burn-in," Rogers said. "And we'll continue to work with chipmakers to deliver a direct supply line of integrated test cell consumables."

Rogers will also help direct Antares' investment in R&D to develop products such as the company's new room temperature burn-in (RTBI) system and Z-Socket, an impedance-matching RF QFN test socket.

Rogers' career in the test and burn-in market spans work in sales, sales management and marketing with OZTEK, Inc. and, subsequently, Cerprobe and K&S.

While at OZTEK, Rogers helped build the company's brand and establish OZTEK as the industry leader in high performance test sockets, a position that the subsequent Antares product line continues to enjoy.

"Over the years, I've certainly seen a real fundamental change in how ICs are being packaged and tested and major functional changes -- from increases in processor speeds from megahertz to gigahertz to simple discrete RF devices and complex systems-on-chips," Rogers said. "It's been exciting keeping up with the technology drivers on the test and burn-in side, and we'll simply continue to adapt and do our part to shape the industry."

Rogers will be based out of Antares' Gilbert, Ariz. location. He holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
