This support, granted in the form of five non-repayable financial contributions totalling $76,207, has been awarded through the Local Investment Initiative (LII), a component of CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

  • The funding will enable the municipalities of Campbell's Bay, L'Isle-aux-Allumettes and Shawville as well as Bryson Lions Club and the Harrington Community Center in L'Isle-aux-Allumettes to renovate buildings housing local community halls.

  • The LII, a temporary initiative specific to CED, helps promote economic development capacity-building for the long-term benefit of Quebec communities.
  • This initiative stimulates local investment while ensuring citizens have access to safer and more functional community halls that are better suited to their needs.
