Promoter Contribution - Investment - Project description
Parish Municipality of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil Non-repayable contribution of $7,978 on a total investment of $22,662 The Parish Municipality of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, with its population of over 1,000 residents, has two community halls in its City Hall building that are at the disposal of local citizens for recreational activities and family events. These halls, which had become outdated, were no longer adequate to meet the needs of the local population. The financial assistance enabled the Municipality to put in new windows, replace the roof covering and install a sink. These halls play an important part in the local life of the community, and this project was seen as essential to keeping the building in a good state of repair. Municipality of Saint-Félix-de-Kingsey Non-repayable contribution of $22,598 on a total investment of $50,100 A municipality of 1,616 residents, Saint-Félix-de-Kingsey owns the only local community hall, which it makes available to citizens for various special activities and events. The hall, built in 1985 and acquired by the Municipality in 2010, is open to the public and to volunteer organizations in Saint-Félix-de-Kingsey and plays a key role in local community life. The funding will allow the Municipality to renovate the hall by replacing the flooring with hardwood in order to eliminate the difference in levels between the two existing surfaces. Municipality's Website (in French): Saint-Félix-de-Kingsey
Municipality of Saint-Lucien Non-repayable contribution of $25,063 on a total investment of $97,058 The Municipality of Saint-Lucien has a population of 1,619 residents and is located near Drummondville. Its existing community hall serves as a meeting place for local volunteer groups as well as a venue for various social activities and intergenerational gatherings. The building has become outdated and requires work to bring it up to date. The funding will therefore be used to replace the roof, exterior siding, doors and windows along with the flooring in the entrance hall, kitchen and bathrooms. Painting and insulation work will also be carried out.
