Support for Quebec Communities: Municipality of Tingwick Receives Financial Assistance

QUÉBEC CITY, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 27, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Municipality of Tingwick has been granted funding to upgrade an existing community hall.

This assistance has been awarded in the form of a $39,125 non-repayable financial contribution through the Local Investment Initiative (LII), a component of CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

• The allocated funds will enable the Municipality of Tingwick to proceed with the replacement of windows, renovation of the floor and exterior entranceway and installation of an air conditioning system at the community hall.
• The LII, a temporary initiative specific to CED, helps promote economic development capacity-building for the long-term benefit of Quebec communities.
• This initiative stimulates local investment while ensuring citizens have access to safer and more functional community halls that are better suited to their needs.
