Government of Canada supports the Mouvement d'implication francophone d'Orleans


ORLÉANS, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 22, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $80,000 over two years to the Mouvement d'implication francophone d'Orléans (MIFO) to support its annual arts programming. This funding is being provided through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament (Ottawa-Orléans), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • MIFO is a community organization that offers cultural and social activities that meet the needs of the Francophone community in Orléans and the surrounding area.
  • It has been offering multidisciplinary programming to audiences for over 30 years.
  • Each season, the organization will present around 38 shows, including dance, music, theatre, storytelling and comedy.
  • The activities will take place at the Centre culturel d'Orléans, the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orléans and Joël's Coffee in Rockland, Ontario.
