SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 16, 2013) - Today, at the world-renowned DEMO Conference, SupportPay® by Ittavi debuted the first-ever automated child support payment platform -- poised to completely transform the complex, time-consuming & stressful process that impacts nearly 300 million parents exchanging more than $900 billion in child support payments worldwide. With SupportPay, today's modern families can spend less time managing and arguing about child support, and more time focused on raising happy, healthy children.
SupportPay will present at the Payment & Entry session on Thursday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m., located at D29 at the DEMO Conference, at the Hyatt Regency Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, California.
SupportPay offers a private, secure and fully automated payment platform to standardize the child support billing and payment process -- doing all of the calculations, tracking and reminders for you, so you don't have to worry or fight about it. Parents can submit expenses, store receipts, and make payments to each other, or directly to other third-party recipients, to pay for items such as medical care, education, child care or extra-curricular activities. Payments are managed through several online payment gateways, including PayPal and PayQuicker -- all without ever having to track down missing checks or share bank details with your ex. SupportPay is built on Force.com by Salesforce.com, leveraging powerful, proven cloud technology to deliver the highest level of security and privacy for users' financial data.
Other key features of SupportPay include automatic payment notifications/reminders, online approve/dispute capabilities for all expenses, and archiving to create a full history and paper trail of all divorce and child support-related documents, payments, and communications. Parents can also use the system to pay and track alimony and family support, and easily download a record at the end of the year for tax purposes. Future versions of SupportPay will also include credit/debit card support, calendar & scheduling capabilities, shared task lists, and more.
"The fact is, not every divorce is contentious, but even the most amicable of exes can get stressed out, angry, and overwhelmed when it comes to sharing the expenses of raising a child -- from child support payments, to extracurricular activities, to medical bills, and much more," said Sheri Atwood, Founder and CEO of SupportPay. "With SupportPay, the process is simple, automated, and transparent. Rather than creating conflict, it encourages collaboration -- which, in the end, is what our children really deserve. It's a no-brainer for anyone trying to raise children together while living apart."
With the launch, SupportPay is also announcing a free mobile application for paid subscribers. The SupportPay mobile application enables anyone to capture a receipt and input an expense directly from their mobile phone.
SupportPay is the brainchild of former Silicon Valley executive Sheri Atwood, a child of divorce who went through her own divorce a few years ago. In searching for a better way to exchange and communicate about support payments with her ex-husband, Atwood was astonished to find that no automated solution existed for this complex, often conflict-ridden process.
SupportPay is available now with both a free, "lite" version and a full version that starts at just $19.99 per month. The lite version allows parents to log in, track expenses and payments and make a limited amount of payments to the other parent. The full version will start at $19.99/month, but users who register by November 15, 2013 can purchase six months of service for the price of one month, or just $19.99 (a $120 value). The mobile application is free for any subscribed users and is available on Android next week and iOS in shortly thereafter. A full featured mobile app is in the works for 2014.
