Supremex Enhances Environmental Program

- Expands FSC product line - Launches "Please Recycle" campaign

MONTREAL, QUEBEC and TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 7, 2008) - Supremex, Canada's leading provider of stock and custom envelopes announced today the expansion of its environmental program aimed at enabling customers to bring their procurement policies in line with their corporate social responsibility mandates. The company has significantly expanded its FSC certified stock envelope product line and launched a "Please Recycle" initiative intended to increase consumer awareness and paper recovery rates.

The most recent enhancement to the program is the addition of nineteen (19) new FSC-certified stock envelopes. The FSC-certified stock line-up has been expanded to include three FSC-certified paper substrates: White Wove, Natural Kraft and 100% White Wove Post-Consumer Recycled papers. Since receiving both Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certifications in December 2006, Supremex has manufactured in excess of 300 million envelopes from certified papers in 2007. The company expects that number to increase in 2008 to well over one billion envelopes for the year, approximately 12% of its total annual production.

Additionally, as part of its environmental commitment to the market, in support of an Envelope Manufacturers Association initiative, Supremex is beginning to offer its customers the option to print "Please Recycle" at the back of their printed envelopes at no additional charge. This initiative is intended to help increase overall consumer awareness and drive up recovery rates from their current rate of approximately 49%. The intent of the program is make more paper available to recycling mills and reduce the need for virgin fibre from our forests.

"The first step in our company's "environmentally logical" products initiative was to ensure that we had a robust line-up of earth friendly envelope and mail packaging products available. We're well on our way to achieving this with many more exciting initiatives on the go. The EcologiX Program™ includes the existing line-up of earth friendly envelopes and will serve as a focus for continued development and promotion of new environmentally logical products and practices. We intend to make a concerted effort to continue to lead the market in this respect and to encourage our customers to switch to these products," said company CEO, Gilles Cyr.
