Suquamish Tribe New InterLocking Software Client

POULSBO, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 8, 2006 -- InterLocking Software has announced that they have signed a deal with the Suquamish Tribe Grant department. The Suquamish Tribe intends to use EKO-System for grant management for all of their departments including human services, tribal court, and public safety. The Suquamish Tribe has been increasingly successful at receiving grants. Each grant has a number of deadlines and requirements that will be tracked in EKO.

Grant Compliance Officer Angela Flemming said, "We are excited about using EKO to bring some order to our grants. We opted to use EKO-System for its flexibility. If our needs change later, EKO can be further fitted for our needs. I am looking forward to working with ILSC again in the future."

The Suquamish Tribe is the second Tribe to sign with ILSC for EKO-System, but they are the first to use EKO in a manner other than for natural resource or noxious weed management. This innovative step by the Suquamish Tribe Grant Department will provide them the necessary data management needs for their ever-expanding grant department. With EKO-System in place, the grant department will be able to more easily track the deadlines and requirements of each grant they receive.

The Suquamish Tribe's progressive Grant Department is the first department in the tribe to integrate EKO-System with a use other than what it was originally designed for. This has shown part of the broad spectrum of uses that could be applied to EKO-System.

The Nisqually Tribe, as well as Washington counties, such as Walla Walla and Chelan, several conservation districts, and not-for profit organizations are currently implementing EKO-System. The product is not merely applicable to grant management; it is also being applied to noxious weed management and natural resource management, among other functions.

EKO-System is powerful web-based software designed to track and integrate natural resource management. The system was designed and built by database experts working closely with natural resource professionals. The culmination of their work produced a product that gives the user the capability to efficiently manage all aspects of a natural resource project.
