SURGE will invest in startups spanning the entire energy spectrum, including traditional energy production, energy trading, smart grid, cleantech, cleanweb, and water technology. Participants will receive seed capital, professional services, and access to development tools. SURGE provides unparalleled mentorship from industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs as well as direct access to potential customers.
Since its founding in 2011, SURGE has graduated two classes totaling 23 companies -- that have raised $18.6 million in follow-on funding. Two graduate companies recently closed venture-baked Series A rounds. drillMap from the first SURGE class closed a $6.5 million round.
