MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Hosts April 30 Event Showcasing Startups That Found Success Piloting and Selling to Healthcare Industry

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 23, 2014) - Learn how your company can get its foot in the door of the healthcare industry by attending the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Innovation Series Event, Healthcare Innovation After ObamaCare.

As the pace of change for healthcare innovators accelerates, startups and entrepreneurs must position their offerings to take advantage of the opportunities that come from meeting the evolving needs of hospitals, practice groups and insurance companies. Notably, these organizations are now charged with lowering costs and improving healthcare outcomes under the Affordable Healthcare Act -- otherwise known as ObamaCare.

This event will help startups to learn best practices for tailoring their business plans to meet the needs of the industry, beginning with the evening's keynote, presented by Christina Severin, President and CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization. Christina will share her knowledge on the imperatives that are driving technology innovation and what innovators should be paying attention to in the industry.

Following the keynote, Gina Villani, Strategic Investments Consultant at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, will discuss where market pressure and federal initiatives like the Affordable Care Act are generating opportunity for disruptive technology and business innovation.

Closing out the evening, Yumin Choi, Partner at HLM Venture Partners will lead a panel of startup success stories as told by Scott Bradley,VP of Strategy and Operations at myHealthbook; Win Burke, CEO of iGetBetter; Elliot Cohen, Co-Founder and CTO of PillPack; Sharon Fan, Sales Engineer and Operations Lead at GestSure; Michael Fergusson, CEO of Ayogo Games; and Anwar Hussain, CEO of Ringleader.
