PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - CBS 3 (KYW-TV) is proud to broadcast the 239th St. Patrick's Day Parade, the second oldest parade in the country, live, Sunday, March 15th, 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. on CBS 3 and streamed live for viewers across the country and around the world on The Parade will rebroadcast on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17th, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on The CW Philly 57 (WPSG-TV).

CBS 3 Anchor Susan Barnett and Meteorologist Kathy Orr will host the parade coverage from the reviewing stands at Eakins Oval on the Parkway along with a series of color commentators from the Irish community. Traffic Reporter Bob Kelly will report the annual spectacle from the Parade route.

More than 25,000 marchers participate in the Parade which includes 24 Irish Dance Schools, marching bands from as far away as Ireland and Connecticut, Irish Social Societies and various divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade telecast is presented by IBEW Local Union 98, and is sponsored in part by the David Auto Group and the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.
