Sustainable Power Corp. Acquires Angel Eyes Produce Corp.

Forms and Retains Interest in Sustainable Produce Corp.

BAYTOWN, TX--(Marketwire - February 19, 2009) - Sustainable Power Corp. (PINKSHEETS: SSTP) announced today that the Company has joined forces with Sustainable Produce Corp. to acquire Angel Eyes Produce Company of Massena, NY. Sustainable Power Corp. produces Vertroleum® biocrude, biogas and a biochar which is essentially a 7-3-7 organic fertilizer. By acquiring Angel Eyes, the Company extends its chain of green products from garbage and other waste organic materials to biofuels, from biofuels to electricity, and now from garbage to biofuels to electricity to food.

The certified organic produce grown by Angel Eyes Produce's exclusive Terraponics technology takes agriculture to a new standard. Produced indoors in what are named "Super Grow Buildings," the technology provides fresh produce year-round from a sterilized, pollution-free, HEPA filtered, climate controlled environment, utilizing the best features of hydroponic and hydroculture technologies. Because it is produced indoors, the produce can be grown in much more limited space and much more efficiently than traditional agriculture and in virtually any climate or condition. Sustainable Power brings the electrical power to sustain the production to the operations with its green energy technology, as well as utilization of its biochar 7-3-7 fertilizer byproduct to enhance the patented soil.

Sustainable Power's CEO, M. Richard Cutler, stated, "We can now provide essentially a total solution. We can use the endless supply of municipal solid waste to grow food locally anywhere in the world." Angel Eyes President Andy Maslin, owner of one of New York's largest outdoor certified organic farms, has perfected his patent pending indoor Terraponics process during the past 20 years. "The food we grow," stated Maslin, "is the safest and most nutritious possible. We are not a green house or hydroponic operation using chemical soup to grow food. We are indoors in an impervious, secure facility free from all pathogens, disease, unpredictable weather, and bioterrorism and grow in living bioactive soil to guarantee the most nutritious, safest organic food possible. We can grow as much on one indoor acre as we can on 100 to 500 outdoor acres, depending on the crop and ceiling heights of the building," he added.

Cutler announced that through Sustainable Power, Sustainable Produce Corp. (the exclusive licensee of the Angel Eyes technology) has established a biofuel facility and is now building a demonstration farm in Baytown, Texas and intend to create commercial size indoor farms. "This is the new manufacturing sector that can help eliminate poverty and hunger around the globe."
