Sutron Reports First 9 Months Bookings for 2010

STERLING, VA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2010) -  Sutron Corporation (NASDAQ: STRN), a leading provider of hydrological, meteorological, and oceanic monitoring products, systems, software and services, today announced that during September the company received bookings of $2,204,698.

These bookings were generated by year end monies from many Federal Government Agencies including NOAA/NOS, Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, and the U. S. Geological Survey as well as several State and Local Governments, Utilities, Universities, Irrigation Companies, and Farmers. September orders were also placed by Canada, Germany, Peru, Guatemala, and Panama.

Bookings for the first nine months of the year 2010 total $20,504,410. In light of the first three quarters' bookings performance, the company expects to achieve record bookings for 2010.
