Swanni Names Britney Spears the 'Worst Looking' Celebrity in HDTV

For the Fourth Straight Year, the High-Definition TV Guru Reveals Which Stars Look Better or Worse in Crystal-Clear High-Def; Angelina Jolie Is Named the Best-Looking Celebrity in HDTV

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - September 19, 2007) - Phillip Swann (a.k.a. 'Swanni'), the president of, has generated international media attention for his comments on which celebrities look better -- and worse -- in crystal-clear High-Definition TV.

And now Swanni has named his 2007 'Best and Worst' in HDTV.

Who's number one on the 'Worst' list?

Pop singer Britney Spears!

Swanni says: "The singer was once known as a pop tart, but now it looks like all she does is eat Pop Tarts. And in high-def, she looks about a decade older than she really is. Her face is already showing premature wrinkling around her lips and eyes. Yeech!"

Swanni names actor Brad Pitt as the second worst-looking celeb in high-def.

"Pitt will turn 44 a week before this Christmas. But in high-def, he's no gift to women," Swanni says. "With those pockmarked cheeks, you half expect a space capsule to land on his face. Pitt was the star of 'Ocean's 13,' but in HD, he looks like he should be the star of 'Apollo 13' -- playing the part of the Moon!"

Completing Swanni's 'HDTV Horribles' list are: 3. John Travolta; 4. Sylvester Stallone; 5. Michael Jackson; 6. Kate Winslet; 7. Bill Maher; 8. Dr. Phil; 9. Glenn Close; 10. Celine Dion.

Swanni selected actress Angeline Jolie as the best-looking celebrity in HDTV with Catherine Zeta-Jones number two. Rounding out Swanni's 'HDTV Honeys' list are: 3. Katherine Heigl; 4. David Beckham; 5. Eva Longoria; 6. Beyonce Knowles; 7. Justin Timberlake; 8. Michelle Pfeiffer; 9. Reese Witherspoon; 10. Jessica Alba.

"HDTV is changing our view of who's beautiful and who's not because the picture is up to six times clearer than regular TV; it's like seeing these people in real-life. And some of them don't look very good," Swanni says.
