Sweeble, Mobile App Turning Social "Like" Into "Love," Launches

New App Offering Free Intensity-Based Social Interactions for Apple and Android Premieres at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2015) - Sweeble, the first social media app with a scalable Like feature, today announced its official launch in the Apple App Store and Google Play. The free, photo- and video-sharing mobile app for iOS and Android focuses on intensity-based interactions, measuring how much a user "Likes" content based on the amount of time they hold down the heart icon. To commemorate the launch, Sweeble will be hosting a celebratory event from 7-11 p.m. PST, this evening, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. This will mark the first time a technology company has premiered at the iconic landmark.

Sweeble is redefining how content popularity is measured on social media by empowering users to track and gauge the influence of every post, giving them an understanding of which content resonates best with their community of friends and followers. After only four months in private beta, Sweeble already has:

  • More than 600,000 seconds of liked content
  • 12,000 images and videos posts
  • A record 30-minute-long photo Like
  • 700 users of all types, including actors, musicians, comedians, fashion influencers, dogs and professional athletes

"Our goal is for Sweeble to elevate the way we enjoy, experience and interact with each other and content online," said Arvind Dixit, CEO and co-founder of Sweeble. "Sweeble is about the quality, not quantity of Likes. It's designed to be an easy-to-use, content creation platform where people are finally able to accurately express how much they love the images and videos they're seeing."

Unlike platforms that only display whether a post was liked, Sweeble adds a new dimension of intimacy to image sharing. With an intuitive, easy-to-navigate interface, Sweeble's exclusive, scalable Like feature lets people give and receive genuine feedback about content. Users can intensify how much they like a photo or video by holding their finger down on the heart icon for a preferred period of time. The level of intensity is measured by how many seconds a user touches that picture or video.

"Sweeble gives passionate social media users the unique opportunity to track the degree to which each post is appreciated by others," said Jason Zuccari, president and co-founder of Sweeble. "Data like this will help businesses increase brand awareness and inspire users to edit their personal content, ultimately attracting new fans based on an easy-to-read analysis of the content people want to see."

Sweeble features include:

  • Scalable Like button - first-of-its-kind feature enabling users to indicate just how much they like a photo or video
  • Intuitive grid display - created for easy browsing through users' feeds, promoting inventive ways to tell stories and keep users engaged
  • Privacy settings - allow users to choose whether their images are private, viewable to certain individuals or accessible to anyone on the app
  • Photo-sharing tools and editing software - videos (up to 10 seconds long) and photos can be posted and customized to reflect the user's personal style
  • Mobile compatibility with all Android and iOS devices

Sweeble is now available to download for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
