Sweets & Snacks Expo Will Be a Showcase for Brazilian Sweets

Brazilian Companies Take Their Products to the Expo in Chicago With the Objective of Winning Over the Palates of a Large Part of the World That Will Be Represented There

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 11, 2016) - Brazilian companies from the confectionery sector will participate in the Sweets & Snacks Expo, in Chicago, from 24th-26th May. Seven companies will represent some of the flavors that are conquering the world: Docile, Embaré, Harald, Peccin, Riclan, Simas and Simonetto.

These companies are part of the Brasil Sweets and Snacks Project partnership between ABICAB (The Brazilian Cacao, Chocolates, Peanuts, Candies and Byproducts Industry Association) and The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to promote their products internationally.

Brazil is the sixth largest confectionery market, fifth in the chocolate market and fifth in the sugar confectionery market, according to Euromonitor International.

Among the product releases, there are a great variety of products for different palates and publics. Docile, for example, will launch the product 'Pastille' with three flavor options: tutti-frutti, fruits, and strawberry. Each packet has 16 pastilles.

Embaré will take their new milk caramel with yoghurt and fruit flavors, the 'Yoghurt Caramel', in three presentations and five flavors: 150g in watermelon and mango flavors; 150g in melon and pineapple flavors; and 840g in banana, mango, melon, watermelon, and pineapple flavors.

Chocolate, produced with Brazilian cacao from selected farms in Bahia and the Amazon region, will be represented by Harald with the products: Harald Unique Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel and Harald Unique Milk Chocolate with Caramel, both 80g.

Peccin will launch at the fair the 'Pura' sweet, crunchy and filled centers, with natural flavors and colors, in strawberry, orange, and peach, offered in 600g and 150g packets.

For the caramels product line, there are two companies with new releases: Riclan with 'My Toffee', a milk caramel in a 130g packet; and Simonetto with their product 'Caramelos', made with pure milk and offered in milk, chocolate, and chocolate and milk flavors, in 200g and 600g packets.

Simas will launch 'ChocoMelo Lollipop', a 14g chocolate lollipop filled with chewy milk caramel; the 'Sam's Festa Lollipop', a 10g lollipop with five flavors and colors; and the colored candy 'Sam's Festa Candy', with 7 fruit flavors.

The Brazilian stand will be located at number 1,759 (West Hall).
