Swimco: How to Feel Good Half Naked on Spring Break

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2011) - Spring Break is just weeks away. If you're going on vacation, you'll need a swimsuit. It's no secret that on the female 'pleasure scale', swimsuit shopping often ranks down there with getting a root canal. Swimco has been crusading to change this mentality, assuring women that no matter what their body type, there is a swimsuit that will make them feel good half naked.

"It's all in the fit", says Swimco Marketing Specialist Alison Wandzura. "Is there a swimsuit that can make you look 20 years younger and smooth your cellulite? I've never seen one. But there are swimsuits that can make you look 10 lbs lighter. There are styles that will give you amazing lift in the bust to eliminate 'pancake boobs', a term coined by one of our customers. We use simple visual tricks to slim your hips, tuck your tummy, and flatter your bustline. "

Most of Swimco's customers come in with one or two main concerns about wearing a swimsuit, such as finding a top that will hoist up 'the girls' or a bottom that isn't too 'cheeky'. "Whatever your concern, we have swimsuits specifically designed to help with that issue, and our Fit Experts will show you which ones they are." says Wandzura. "Just leave it up to us to help you find the right style. And save the Valium for the dentist, because swimsuit shopping can be much easier than you think!"

Here are tips from Swimco's Fit Experts on how to use Spring 2011 swimwear trends to flatter your figure:

Trend 1: Sizzlin' Shades of Cranberry, Crimson, and Tangerine

Bold colours are out in full force this season, but use them wisely. For example, a solid dark bottom paired with a bright top works wonders for visually balancing out a pear-shaped figure.

Trend 2: Flower Power

Spring is definitely in the air… and all over swimsuits! Floral prints ranging from big lilies to tiny pin-flowers are a great way to freshen up your vacation wardrobe. An all-over print can take attention away from the stomach in a 1-piece, and a bright floral top can draw attention upward in a bikini.

Trend 3: Feminine Ruffles

Girly girls will love this season's trend of feminine (and in some cases lingerie-inspired) ruffled swimwear. Use ruffles on the top and bottom to add curves to a straight figure, or just on top to enhance bust and minimize the bottom.

Trend 4: Gathered fabric

Swimsuit manufacturers have gotten the message loud and clear that gathered fabric in the midsection is the ultimate tummy tamer. It masks any lumps or bumps in that region, and visually cinches in the waist.
