SWORD Appoints Steve Birnam as North American Sales Manager for Cadtop

HOUSTON, TX--(CCNMatthews - June 09, 2006) - SWORD Group, specialists in IT products and services, is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Steve Birnam to manage and develop business alliance partnerships in North America for their Cadtop solutions.

Cadtop, part of SWORD's Biztop solutions suite, is a "Designed for Documentum" solution -- a simple but powerful engineering control product designed to bridge the gap between enterprise Cad applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation and EMC's Documentum content management solution.

By meeting Documentum's ECM criteria, Cadtop gains instant credibility and recognition as a best of breed solution, providing an innovative framework of applications for organisations who have adopted EMC Documentum as their corporate Content Management Infrastructure.

The appointment is part of a sustained investment and growth strategy by SWORD to grow global business.

Steve has more than 15 years experience in Document Management solutions, including sales and marketing, partner relationships, as well as system design and implementation. He previously worked at Cimmetry Systems Inc for 5 years, where he was Business Development manager, responsible for building relationships with EDM and ECM partners, including EMC Documentum. He has held several sales and management positions, including Sales Manager at PC Docs, and various positions with Documentum partners. Steve is therefore very familiar with EMC Documentum, and his experience will be invaluable in his new role with Cadtop.

Steve says "I am very proud to join SWORD at such an exciting and buoyant time. There is such a clear need for Cadtop in the Documentum world, and SWORD is an incredibly dynamic and fast moving organisation with a great reputation for delivering first class products and services to their clients and partners."

He goes onto say, "I am really looking forward to the challenges and the accomplishment of developing our relationships with our resellers and with EMC Documentum account managers. I am looking forward to growing Cadtop sales in North America, and would be very happy to speak to all resellers who are interested in partnering."

Draughtsmen, designers and engineers are able to work within their familiar AutoCAD or MicroStation interfaces, simultaneously benefiting from access to the full power of EMC Documentum's drawing management capabilities.

Any reseller interested in discussing a potential partnership with Steve can email him via sbirnam@sword-inc.com.
